Help! Mom's coming over! Recommendations for Spa hotel in Ubud and "quiet" beach ?

Yep! Mom is coming over, first time in Bali/Indonesia, together with a friend and it's me who will do the booking. BUT I have about zero experience of holidaying in Bali. They want to stay at some nice "Balinese style" Spa Hotel in Ubud for a week. After that they'd like to stay at some nice, relatively quiet (i.e not Kuta) beach (perhaps Sanur or Nusa Dua? haven't been there for 10 years). They're not party animals (age 60) but like good dining, culture, music, dance, art. You know. Budget: roughly $50 a night for a 2-bed room or a 4-5 people room/villa about $75/night. Nothing too fancy! Any personal recommendation is greatly appreciated.

Is that budget of $50 to 75 per person or for an entire villa? If for a 2 bedroom villa or one that would accommodate 4 to 5 people, I doubt you'll find anything in that price range. For a villa (with a swimming pool) in Ubud, Sanur or Nusa Dua, I'd suggest a [I]starting[/I] price of $150.00 would be reasonable, but more likely $200 to 300 per night.

Sorry, what I mean is roughly $50 for 2 persons/room or $75 for 4-5 persons/room or villa. I got some quotes in this pricerange from for instance Ubud Bali Hotels –Bali Ubud Indonesia – Taman Harum Cottage Official Website (Does anyone know about this place by the way?)

I haven't stayed at Taman Harum, as it's quite some distance from Ubud in the village of MAS, but have a look at TripAdvisor reviews: Taman Harum Cottages (Ubud, Indonesia) - Resort Reviews - TripAdvisor You could also try Saren Indah on the other side of the Monkey Forest in the village of Nyuh Kuning.
